Deep Purple
When the deep purple falls over sleepy garden walls
And the stars begin to twinkle in the night
In the mist of a memory you wander on back to me
Breathing my name with a sighIn the still of the night once again I hold you tight
Though you're gone, your love lives on when moonlight beams
And as long as my heart will beat, sweet lover we'll always meet
Here in my deep purple dreams
Here in my deep purple dreamsFor some reason, that song is stuck in my head today. I remember the Donny & Marie version from my childhood. The tune was catchy, but it's kinda creepy to hear a brother and sister singing it, especially when Marie speaks the lyrics (which would just be horribly cheesy if it wasn't her brother singing with her). Oh the things that flew over my innocent adolescent head! Anyway, I found this version by Sarah Vaughn that's how the song was intended to be sung (in other words, not bubblegum pop). Let's see if I can figure out hot to embed it.

I'll have to come back when I have earphones because I don't think I know that song offhand, and the library doesn't allow sound turned on out loud, but I like how you chose that song to represent your trellis full of grapes (so cool)and your homemade grape jelly.
Wonderful pictures! Ooh -- it must be jam/jelly time in Baroda!
My grapes ripened several weeks ago. I need to make more grape jelly.
Yum. There is something delightful in the aroma of ripe grapes. We will hopefully be able to drive with the windows down on Sunday as we travel up your way!!
grape jelly?
