I've been working off and on since we returned from Arkansas to put together a slide show as a memento of the reunion we attended. I wanted it to portray the Passion Play as I remember it, as it is now, the cast back in the day, and photos from the reunion. I wanted to find a good song to go with it. And I wanted to avoid going through YouTube to publish the video. All of that took a good long while, but I persevered and figured it all out. Then I got it to upload to Facebook, and since I was on a roll I decided to try to upload it to xanga just for kicks. Guess what? For the first time since May, 2011 I have successfully uploaded a video on xanga! No YouTube embed code, no checking the Edit HTML box, a straight upload from my computer to xanga. Happy day! And since it worked, I'm posting it and you're watching it, doggone it!
I won today's battle with technology. I'm sure I'll lose the war, but I'm going to enjoy my little victory today.
EDIT: I'm leaving this post up for the irony. The video did upload, which is a major step forward for xanga's video uploader. It just won't play. It started to play when I first posted it, but there was no sound. So still some glitches, but I choose to celebrate the improvement instead of whine about the problems. Good job, xanga; keep up the good work! I know you'll get it fixed one of these days.

Well that was a short-lived victory. The video uploaded, but apparently the sound did not. And I can't even get the video to play now. Hmph.
Video played nicely for me -- no sound. It's a lovely collage of memories, Vi!
Same here. Pictures but no sound.
The video played for me! But no music. Maybe if you tell me what song is supposed to be on I can hum it while the slides pass....
You are better than I am - I can't get video or music to play!
I am trying hard to listen but no sound. That's a lot of slides you got there.Got to see a bout a quarter of them.
