Welcome to my first ever sponsored contest! Uprinting.com has generously offered the prize of 100 postcards, custom designed with your own photo or artwork, to one of my lucky readers. Or you can choose from one of the many designs they have on file. As a bonus, they’re also giving me 100 postcards for hosting the contest! How great is that?
Postcards have so many uses. You can have them made as thank you notes, announcements, business advertising, or, like me, just to keep in touch with friends.
Entering the contest is the easiest thing you will ever do. Just leave a comment on this post by next Monday, December 28th, telling me why you want 100 postcards and how you plan to use them. The comment that affects me most will win, so use your writing skills to pique my interest and engage my emotions. Make me laugh! Make me cry! Make me WANT to give you those postcards!
Here is some important information you should know before you enter the contest:
Restrictions: The contest is open to U.S. residents only.
Shipping: The winner will pay the shipping cost.*
Size: 4” x 6”
Paper: 14 pt. cardstock gloss
Printing: Full color both sides
Turn on those creative juices; the contest starts NOW!
Wow!!! I love this! I would send them to the people in the State Hospital who get no mail. I would use a pic that would make them smile when they look at it,maybe the kitty in my shoe !
What a great idea for a contest. <3
Cool.
I would want these postcards because I have had a wish to send "Just Thinking Of You" notes to my friends for years, but never had a large amount of postcards.=]. Speaking personally, I have recieved cards randomly a couple times, and it makes my day. I know a lot of friends that I've lost touch with but still care about who are going through rough times right now, and I would like to cheer them up and let them know they are not alone.<3
I would use them for my business. Because of Paul's MS diagnosis it has become very important for him to get enough rest. I chose to quit my job to work at home so I could have a better handle on things at the home front so he could continue to work and then come home and rest and know that things here are taken care of. The less expenses I have to run my business the more money we have for things like doctors appointments and fun stuff for the kids. So 100 postcards for invites would be a huge blessing!
Awesome! We could use some cool postcards to send to the youth at our church. I have to say, though, it sounds like kpsmom3 actually needs them, though. Her needs outweigh my wants.
Well that is cool!
I live near a large St. Jude hospital and research center so I would send two each week to the sick children in hopes of bringing them a smile.
I would send them to the troops in Iraq.
U.S. residents only eh?
I'll see you in court.
The business cards I won from a UPrinting contest that another Xangan held are fantastic. :)
Wow, what a great prize! Unfortunately I am outside of the USA. However, if I were to be able to partake my answer would have simply been to look 100 people in the phone book that I do not know and just send them a special message (whatever the Lord would lead me to write) and then ask if they wouldn'd mind sending out 3 post cards to people they don't know with the same message that was on their card they received. You know kinda like paying it forward to keep it ongoing! :)
I would give mine to Seedsower, she does the nicest things for those who cannot do for themselves!!!
I would take the 100 free postcards and sell them to pay for a trip to Malibu.
lol I'm enjoying reading the comments here.
It's a great contest. I'm going to pass on entering because the other people have better reasons for needing them than me.
Since I live outside the US.
Here what I would have done with 100 postcards if I could take part.. Use them as thank you cards for presents I get over Christmas, even though I would be sending out thank you cards.
Use them to write to people who have not got no family etc over the holidays, I don't know what I would write on the cards.
All of the comments are great in this entry.
I would send them to Xangans or people who need to be cheered up, cuz I hate not being able to see people in real life, but you know, a postcard could be pretty close. Then I would send one to roadlesstaken with a XangaSecret on it.
Then I would give one to my cat and maybe one to my grandma.
Then I would put a few in mailboxes of people that I love that need cheered up.
Then I would set some out anonymously saying things that will brighten people's day.
Then I would give one to my sister because she makes me cards all the time and I never give any to her.
Then I would give one to you, because you would be the reason I had all these wonderful cards in the first place.
Then I would eat some rice, because rice is delicious, and I love it. Also because I'm asian. I might have some chicken with it too.
Then I would continue giving out these postcards in any way I feel is neccessary. Like I could give one to that old man at the nursery home that always eats ice cream, or to the lady who runs big brothers big sisters, cuz she's kind of a grump and needs some cheerful words. I'd just give them to random people who want them or need them. Then I would be all out of postcards.
Yay, I win!
why?
i'm running low on toilet paper and i'll send them to your enemies
(did i say that???)
oh well --you'll laugh or not...
Once upon a Christmas eve Saint VI had something up her sleeve 100 post cards to award if you aren't out of your gourd if you can make her laugh (without using a giraffe) So far Bricker59 has threatened to sue Justplainmorgie wants to send them to me and you Ampersands Annonymous wants them for kids who are ill Cherylann94 wants to send em to friends and share good will they would help kpsmom3 meet her business need Others made comments or requests indeed My poetry is something awful (but if I won it would be lawful) I truly have no need for the prize just wanted you to recognize that you are special it's true Sending Christmas Blessings to you
Xanga cards would be sooo cool.
Excellent! (now, why didn't I host this thing too? oh yeah...I'm fried!)
@ugotafriend - that's awesome. Thanks for the laugh.
Oh for fun! One hundred post cards would be such a gift. I'm in the habit of buying random ones and saving them. In my hope chest they sit until I get a random urge to send one out. I grab a card and send it to a friend to surprise her/him. Some days I mail them, other days I slip them books in the library with something inspirational written on the back. Every great once in awhile I'll pick a random address out of the phone book and send an inspirational quote their way. It's my very own personal form of post secret that I love oh so much. The last one sent was to my friend Karna whom lives in Norway. I stuck a best friends sticker on the back. No more, no less. ♥
