I like to see flowers. I bet it smells good there.
As for walking barefoot, it doesn't happen here because of the prickers.
I've lived in Florida and south Texas and know all about the nasty prickers. It's nice to be able to feel the grass between my toes. Doesn't quite make up for the snow, but it's nice.
I'm so glad your yard is showing a little color -- with just enough white to remind you of the 'long-ago' winter snows! We're actually having a little winter here today -- good soaking rain overnight, and snow in the mountains down to about 5,000 feet!
I will weep if it snows here again before Thanksgiving, but I'm glad California is getting some moisture. My cousin lives up in the Sonora area and I think she's getting the cold stuff.
Mu Lily of the valley hasn't started to bloom yet. Sparky is attempting to keep it contained in the garden. All the "escapees" are being dug up and relocated to the other side of the fence. His plan is to not have to mow there!! hehe!
Ours are nearly done. I was outside in the almost dark just now to cut what I can in case it rains all weekend. I'm drying them and am going to try to make an infused oil. The mint is already growing in that bed and soon it will take over for the summer.
Mint does try to take over, and usually does. I'm home from the hospital and feeling better, except my chest is sore from the CPR. I passed out in the Dr.s office. Not a good idea! They tend to panic when you do that.
@ata_grandma: Glad you are home and OK.
It is such a joy to have the flowers back again. When comparing the frozen wastelands of winter against the tropical flourishing flora and fauna I am going to have to lean in favor of global warming.
